The CMS Helen Ruffin Reading Bowl team took second place out of 21 DeKalb middle schools at the county competition on Saturday, January 31. The team then advanced to the Regional Competition at Clayton State on Saturday, February 7. Chamblee placed 3rd out of 14 really tough teams at Regionals. Unfortunately, the team did not place high enough to advance to the Division championship but the students should be very proud of their performance at both the County and Region competitions.
