Curriculum Night will begin in the Chamblee Middle gymnasium promptly at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday, September 9th, with remarks from the PTSA and our Principal, Mr. DeJesus. You will then be dismissed to your child's 1st period/homeroom class where you will receive their schedule for the rest of the evening. Here are a few important points regarding the evening:- All presentations will last for 7 minutes and you will have 3 minutes to move to the next period.
- All presentations given by the teachers will provide an overview of the curriculum, outline of class and grading procedures, and a preview of projects and possible field trips (pending final approval).
- PLEASE BE REMINDED, this is not Parent-Teacher Conference Night, we have hundreds of parents attend and the teachers cannot answer specific questions regarding a student. Email a team or PE/Connections teacher and they will make an appointment during their planning time (see times below).
This weekend, your child should hand you a form that has 1st Period class, teacher, and room number so that you are aware of where to report after Mr. DeJesus dismisses you from the gym. If they have misplaced it, they can pick up the form on Tuesday. Please sign and return the bottom portion of the form so that we can verify receipt and try to get an estimate of the number of parents attending Curriculum Night.
The planning periods for teachers to set up conferences are as follows:
PE/Connections - 9:00-9:30 a.m.
8th Grade - 10-11 a.m.
7th Grade - 12:30-1:30 p.m.
6th Grade - 2:30-3:30 p.m.
